4. Lead Sharing and Sale

PropaneFL.com operates a lead-generation and matching service.

When you submit a delivery request, quote request, or similar inquiry, you direct and authorize us to identify providers that may be relevant to your request and to disclose your information to those providers.

We may disclose, transfer, license, or sell your inquiry to one or more:

  • Propane suppliers;
  • Propane delivery companies;
  • Tank installers or leasing companies;
  • Contractors;
  • Local service providers;
  • Referral partners;
  • Lead buyers;
  • Advertising partners; or
  • Other businesses that may be able to respond to your request.

The information transferred may include your name, telephone number, email address, location, requested service, timing, property or tank details, and the contents of your message.

We may receive a lead fee, referral fee, advertising fee, commission, or other compensation in connection with this transfer.

The provider that receives your information may contact you directly and will process your information under its own privacy practices. We do not control how an independent provider stores, uses, or further discloses information after receiving it.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a provider will contact you, provide a quote, have propane available, or accept your request.

5. Provider Communications

By submitting a service request, you ask us and the provider or providers selected for your request to contact you about the propane products or services you requested.

Depending on the contact information you provide, communications may occur by:

  • Telephone call;
  • Text message;
  • Email; or
  • Other communication method you request.

Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive communications is not a condition of purchasing a product or service. You may ask the contacting provider to stop communicating with you. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

We do not authorize providers to use your inquiry for unrelated marketing. Providers are independently responsible for complying with applicable calling, texting, email, and privacy laws.

Each third party processes information under its own privacy terms.

10. Advertising and Future Tracking Technologies

We may display advertising or use advertising and conversion-measurement technologies in the future, including technologies provided by Google, Meta, Microsoft, or similar platforms.

These services may use cookies, pixels, or device identifiers to:

  • Measure advertising performance;
  • Attribute inquiries to advertisements;
  • Create advertising audiences;
  • Limit repeated advertising;
  • Personalize advertising; or
  • Display advertising after you leave the Site.

When required, this Privacy Policy and our cookie controls will be updated before materially different tracking practices are introduced.

11. Public Business Listings and Reviews

Directory listings contain business information obtained from public and third-party sources.

We may use public review data to calculate ratings, sentiment summaries, scores, rankings, and other derived information. We generally do not republish full third-party review text.

Business owners and authorized representatives may request corrections or removal through the Site’s Corrections and Removals page.

Business listing information is not treated in the same manner as private consumer inquiry information when it relates to a business or professional acting in a commercial capacity.

12. How Long We Keep Information

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may depend on:

  • How long it takes to route and follow up on an inquiry;
  • Whether the inquiry results in a provider relationship;
  • Fraud-prevention and security needs;
  • Recordkeeping requirements;
  • Contractual obligations;
  • Legal limitation periods;
  • Tax or accounting requirements; and
  • Whether the information is needed to resolve a complaint or dispute.

Lead and contact-form records may be retained for business, legal, attribution, fraud-prevention, and auditing purposes.

We may retain aggregated or deidentified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

Providers that receive your inquiry determine their own retention periods independently.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no website, database, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Do not submit highly sensitive information through the Site.

14. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request that we:

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
  • Provide access to personal information we hold;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete personal information;
  • Provide a portable copy of certain information;
  • Stop sending marketing communications;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Opt you out of targeted advertising;
  • Opt you out of the sale or sharing of personal information; or
  • Explain the categories of information collected and disclosed.

You may submit a privacy request through our Contact page or by emailing:

[PRIVACY EMAIL ADDRESS]

Please include “Privacy Request” in the subject line and provide enough information for us to locate your records.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will use information supplied for verification only to process and document the request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

These rights are subject to legal exceptions. For example, we may retain information needed to comply with law, prevent fraud, complete a requested transaction, maintain security, or establish or defend legal claims.

15. Requests to Opt Out of Lead Sale or Sharing

You may request that we not sell or share your personal information for future lead-generation purposes by contacting us at:

[PRIVACY EMAIL ADDRESS]

Use the subject line:

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You should submit this request before completing a service-request form if you do not want the information disclosed to providers.

The primary purpose of a service-request form is to send your inquiry to a relevant provider. If you opt out of this necessary disclosure, we may be unable to provide the requested matching service.

An opt-out request will apply to future disclosures under our control. It may not allow us to retrieve information that was already transferred to an independent provider before we received your request. You may need to contact that provider directly.

16. Email and Communication Choices

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the email or by contacting us.

You may continue to receive non-promotional communications reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to an inquiry;
  • Process a privacy request;
  • Address a dispute;
  • Provide a requested service; or
  • Communicate important legal or security information.

To stop communications from an independent propane provider, contact that provider directly.

17. Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Where legally required and technically supported, we may recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising associated with that browser or device.

Because service-request information is voluntarily submitted for matching with providers, a browser signal may not prevent the disclosure specifically requested when you submit a matching form.

18. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking propane-related business or household services.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors should not submit service requests or other personal information through the Site.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

19. External Websites

The Site may contain links to provider websites, Google Business Profiles, review platforms, mapping services, social networks, and other third-party websites.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or content of external websites. Review the privacy policies of those websites before providing information to them.

20. International Visitors

The Site is directed primarily to individuals and businesses seeking propane services in Florida, United States.

Information may be stored or processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.

By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed outside your state, province, or country, subject to applicable law.

We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal process;
  • Respond to a subpoena, court order, or government request;
  • Enforce our Terms of Service;
  • Detect or prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of the Site, our users, providers, or the public; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our business practices, technologies, service providers, or legal obligations change.

The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Material changes may also be communicated through a notice on the Site or another reasonable method.

You should review this Privacy Policy periodically.
