What this directory is

Florida Propane Supplier Guide is an independent directory covering 405 propane supplier businesses across Florida, built for homeowners, property managers, and businesses trying to figure out which local supplier can actually deliver, install, or service a propane tank without a lot of guesswork. Whether someone needs a residential refill contract, a commercial bulk account, or a one-time tank swap, the goal is to give a clear, comparable picture of who operates where and how they tend to perform.

We are also upfront about the other half of what we do: we generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with a supplier, we pass your request along to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. That arrangement is disclosed in full on the quote page, and it has no bearing on how any business is scored or ranked here. Referral revenue funds the directory, but it never touches the rubric.

Where the listing data comes from

Every listing starts with public business information: names, addresses, service areas, hours, licensing details where available, and similar operational facts. We layer that with a synthesis of recent Google review activity, meaning we read and summarize patterns in sentiment, response times, pricing complaints, and service consistency. We do not republish review text or star ratings wholesale. Instead, we link out to the business’s own Google listing so anyone can read the original reviews directly and verify our summary against the source.

How rankings actually work

Rankings are earned, not sold. They come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we collect, covering things like service area coverage, responsiveness signals, review sentiment trends, and operational transparency. The full breakdown of criteria and scoring is on our methodology page, so nothing about the process is hidden. Mei Larsen, Content Lead, maintains the rubric and oversees how it’s applied across all 405 listings, checking that scoring stays consistent as new data comes in.

A listed business can request corrections to its own facts, like a wrong phone number, an outdated address, or a service area that’s changed. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those stay tied to the data and the rubric, full stop.

Sponsorship, clearly separated

Some suppliers pay to appear as sponsored placements. Any sponsored listing is labeled “Sponsored” plainly, displayed in its own section separate from the earned rankings, and never inserted into or blended with the ranked list itself. Paying for visibility does not move a business up the rankings, does not change its score, and does not alter its review summary. The two systems, sponsorship and ranking, run independently by design.
